Be a part of the largest business lobbying day in Minnesota by participating in the 18th annual Minnesota Business Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, March 16th. Join local chambers of commerce and trade associations as we lobby with one voice at the State Capitol on the issues that will shape the state’s economy.
Minnesota Business Day at the Capitol provides all sizes and types of companies the opportunity to network with peers and see the Legislature in action – while at the same time influence public polices important to business. Issues this year include: government service redesign and spending reform, K-12 education reform, repealing the nuclear ban, transportation efficiency and environmental review and permitting reform.
Make your voice heard by sharing your views on these and other issues that impact the growth of your local businesses. Many local chambers have included their leadership classes in this day as an easy way to bring a delegation to the state capitol.
The registration fee is $60 per person, $75 after March 2.
Two sessions are offered to accommodate schedules. Each session includes a kickoff breakfast, a briefing on the business community’s top legislative issues and individual appointments with lawmakers at the Capitol. All participants come together for a special luncheon program which traditionally includes an address from the Governor. Legislative appointments are arranged by request, transportation to the Capitol is provided, and all background meeting materials and meals are supplied with your registration. Return the registration form with payment no later than March 2, 2011, to the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, 400 Robert Street North, Suite 1500, St. Paul, MN 55101. Late registrants, after March 2, and walk-ins cannot be guaranteed legislative appointments.
